DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS AT GLOSSOP OUTDOOR MARKET

With just two days to go the traders and High Peak Council have been working extra hard this week finalising the arrangements for Saturdays Diamond Jubilee Celebrations to give you a day to remember.

High Peak Radio Road Show will be with us from 7am until 12 o'clock midday and there will also be continuous entertainment all day from Bob Malloy's disco, Glossopdale Community College's Swing Band and Martyn Shaw's Mighty Four Jazz Band.

To keep the children entertained we have fairground rides, a trampoline, face painting and a treasure hunt.  Plus, Bookworm book store will be giving away free flags, balloons and streamers too!

There will be lots of stalls packed with things for you to buy too.  All of your regular traders will be there and also plenty of traders who will be coming for the day so there will be a massive selection of lovely things for you to choose from.  Just a few of the stalls we have lined up are Howard Town Brewery selling their designer ales, Val's exclusive handmade jewellery and Celtic Larder selling great food with a Scottish flavour.  There will also be stalls selling handmade cakes and jams, pottery and loads more unusual and exclusive products for you to choose from.

A variety of food and hot and cold drinks will be on sale all day and there will be an ice-cream van and a candy floss stall too.

All that remains to be done now is for us to put up the bunting and to say that we look forward to seeing you all on Sasturday and hope you have a great day at Glossop Outdoor Market Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.
