OFF THE RAILS OPENS TOMORROW

Tomorrow sees the opening of a new stall in our Market Hall here in Glossop.  It's called Off the Rails and sells chain store curtains, pillow, duvets and other bed linen at "Crazy Prices".  It's great to see another small business set up in the Market Complex and this one is especially welcome as it is filling a gap in the market as there is nowhere else in Glossop that you can buy quality, low priced bed linen or curtains unless you want to spend silly money at places like Tesco!

Welcome on board Lesley, it's great to have you as one of traders at Glossop Market complex.  We hope you have a great opening day.

THE WEEKEND STARTS TOMORROW!

As usual the Market Hall will be open tomorrow, Friday and Saturday from 9 am until 5 pm.  With over 30 stalls to choose from there really is something for everyone.  If you didn't get to the market hall last weekend why not come and visit our newest trader Mini Muggles for a fantastic selection of quality childrens clothes for ages 0 to 6 years.

On Friday the general outdoor market is open from  9 am until 4 pm and there are lots of bargains to be had.   Billy the coal and log seller now has his own cabin which is situated opposite  Adam Corballys fruit and vegetable cabin.

On Saturday the Local Produce Market runs side by side with the general outdoor market from 9 am until 4 pm.  All of the produce and goods offered for sale by the Local Produce Traders is grown or made by local producers and artisans.

The Moot will also be playing for us again at Saturdays Local Produce Market and they really are a fantastic duo.  Did you hear them on High Peak Radio with their new song The Market?  Don't worry if you missed it, I'm sure they'll be playing it on Saturday.

All of the traders at the Glossop Market Complex really appreciate your custom and look forward to seeing you all over the next three days.

MINI MUGGLES - FROM CONCEPT TO OPENING DAY

We have a new stall in the Market Hall called Mini Muggles.  It isn't often that we get the chance to share with you how much work goes into opening a new stall so we are very lucky that the new stall holder Cat Muggleton has allowed us to use the photographs she took of the stall at every stage of it's transformation from empty stall to opening day.  We're sure you will agree that she has done a fantastic job.

We asked Cat to tell us a little bit about herself and her new stall and this is what she said:-

"I have only recently moved to Glossop and having 3 young children of my own, I was stunned at the lack of clothes that are on offer locally. (Everybody seems to be wearing Next/Tesco) This inspired me to open a stall on the Indoor Market.

I want to bring expensive and stylish clothing to Glossop at a fair and competitive price, making sure the customers get a good deal every time.

At the minute I only stock age 0-6 years boys and girls with some accessories, however i have a view to stock up to age 12 in the future. (Just testing the waters..)
I also stock items sold at the former "Hand made 4u" stall (Ruth Muggleton is my Mother-in-law)

There was a lot of hard work put into getting my stall looking the way it does now, but looking back it was all worth the while. I would urge anyone to get a stall, hopefully we can get Glossop market looking beautiful."

As you can see, a lot of hard work went into getting Cats stall from the planning stage to opening day and we all wish her lots of luck with her new enterprise.  Cat also stocks a selection of gorgeous goodies from the former Hand Made 4u stall.
