ADAM CORBALLY APPREHENDS THIEF ON GLOSSOP OUTDOOR MARKET

Adam Corbally chased after and apprehended a thief on Glossop Outdoor Market today when a trader from the market hall had items of clothing stolen from her stall.  As the trader took chase the thief ran from the scene and Adam gave chase and caught him and bought him back to the market.  All of the goods were retrieved and returned to their rightful owner.  The thief, an elderly gentleman was later spoken to by the police and given a caution.

MUSIC TO SHOP BY

The Glossop Strummers will be bringing their banjos along to Glossop Outdoor Market on the 11th August to entertain our customers while they enjoy the summer sunshine and browse the stalls at the August Local Produce Market.

GREETINGS CARDS ON SALE THIS SATURDAY

Yesterday saw the start of Eva's second week of work experience at Glossop Outdoor Market when she was taken to Manchester to look around the warehouses by one of our traders.  

Eva has taken to market trading like a duck to water and last Saturday she had another great day on the market working with various traders and learning new skills.  In fact, she has enjoyed herself so much that she is considering becoming a trader herself!  To give her more experience at trading and to give her the chance to see how it feels, one of our traders is allowing Eva to completely take over a stall selling a selection of greetings card so that she can put into practice everything that she's learnt.  Our thanks also go to High Peak Borough Council who are supplying the stall free of charge.

We hope you'll all come down on Saturday to stock up on greetings cards and give Eva the encouragement she deserves.

EVA'S FIRST DAY OF WORK EXPERIENCE ON GLOSSOP OUTDOOR MARKET

Eva had a great first day of work experience with the traders on Glossop Outdoor market today and soon began serving customers like an old hand.  She helped Brian set out his stalls this morning and we have to say we've never seen them looking so good, she even borrowed a pricing gun and priced everything up too!   She is such a hard working young lady who's willing to try her hand at anything and we're sure that she's going to be an asset to the market in the 3 weeks that she's with us.
