JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS PART 5 - FIRST TIME TRADERS

The candy cart was a big attraction for the children yesterday and sold a large variety of popular sweets and candies.  One of our regular traders was seen to be sucking on a large candy pacifier for most of the day while he was also busy selling his wares and all over the market children could be seen clutching bulging pink and white striped sweetie bags.

Celtic Larder

Another first time trader yesterday was Celtic Larder who sold a lovely range of cheeses, condiments and other food items.  This stall seemed to be very popular with shoppers and we hope that they'll come back to trade at Glossop Outdoor Market again soon.

A mouthwatering aroma surrounded this stall all day!  An ideal place to shop if you wanted to sample something a bit different as they were selling authentic Thai food.

Life's Treasures

Life's Treasures was another first time trader who had a lovely selection of aromatherapy gift ideas including some beautiful lavender bags and other traditional and contemporary fragrance items.

Royle Ribbons

Nigel Yates bought a dazzling array of ribbons with him yesterday and these seemed to be very popular with the younger end of the market and many little girls were seen sporting brightly coloured bows in their hair.  Nigel can be found on eBay where his trader name is royle-ribbons.

Val's Gemstone Jewellery

Another newcomer to Glossop Outdoor Market was Val who sold handmade designer jewellery and if you missed her yesterday she will be at the Local Produce Market next Saturday.  We hope to see a lot more of Val in the upcoming months and we wish her every success.  Yesterday was the first time Val had stood the markets and she told us that she had really enjoyed the atmosphere and been made to feel very welcome.
