COMBINED MARKET THIS SATURDAY

We're joined once again this Saturday at Glossop Outdoor Market by our friends from the monthly Local Produce Market.  The Local Produce Market is held once a month in conjunction with the regular market on the 2nd Saturday of the month and you can buy a massive variety of locally produced foodstuffs and artisan wares from the casual traders who attend.

This Saturday we have a new trader attending who will be selling bags - all of the artwork featured on these bags has been painted by ELEPHANTS!  Yes, ELEPHANTS.  The Asian elephants who do the artwork live at a sanctuary and spend a few hours a week painting which we are told they really enjoy.  All of the proceeds from the bags goes towards the upkeep of the sanctuary, medicines and ensuring that Asian elephants do not die out as they are in danger of doing  in this part of the world.  We'll have pictures for you of some of the artwork and the painting elephants soon.

We're also happy to welcome back Val who stood her first market last weekend and loved it so much she asked to come back again!  Val sells a fantastic selection of jewellery which she makes herself and it was very popular at our Jubilee Market so if you didn't manage to make it down last Saturday come on down this weekend and treat yourselves to something from Val's stall.  All of her jewellery is very reasonably priced and exceptionally well made and comes boxed too which makes it ideal to give as a gift.

All of our regular traders will be here this weekend too with lots of bargains which we hope you won't be able to resist.
