TODAY'S TASTY RECIPE IDEA

CHEESY BEEF BURGERS

This is a quick and simple recipe with loads of taste and is popular with both adults and children.

Serves 4

All you need is:-

1 lb. minced beef
Grated cheddar cheese - as much as you want.
A few shakes of Worcester Sauce
Seasoning to taste

Simply put the minced beef, the Worcester Sauce and the grated cheese into a bowl, season to taste and mix together well.  Form into burgers by taking as much of the mixture as you want and rolling it between your palms until it is a rough ball shape then squash it out to make your burger.  There’s no need to add a binding ingredient such as egg as the burgers will hold their shape during cooking because of the added cheese.

Fry, grill or barbecue, turning frequently until cooked through and nicely browned on the outside and serve them either on a bun or as part of your main meal with a selection of fresh salad or vegetables.

If you’re watching the calories you can substitute the cheese for a low fat variety.

If you want to ring the changes, try substituting the cheddar with blue stilton or any other cheese of your choice.  Or turn them into meatballs and serve with fresh tomato sauce over a bed of pasta.
