Traders and customers alike enjoyed a fantastic day today at Glossop Outdoor Market. The festivities kicked off this morning at 7am with High Peak Radio Road Show and the rest of the day rocked along to non-stop entertainment from Glossopdale Swing Band, Martyn Shaw's Mighty Four Jazz Band and Bob Malloy's disco.
Glossop Outdoor Market Traders would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who made today such a success. Firstly, of course, there were the good folk of Glossop and the surrounding area who came and supported their local market. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, if it wasn't for you there wouldn't be a market. Secondly, a massive thank you to our market caretaker Dave Shaw who was at the market at 6am this morning and worked non-stop all day ensuring everything went smoothly and who turned his hand to anything that needed doing. We couldn't have done it without you Dave, you're an absolute star. Thanks also to everyone behind the scenes, too numerous to mention individually, from the young man who folded all the raffle tickets to the traders who donated prizes for the raffle. Thanks also to High Peak Council for all of your help and support and without whom we wouldn't have been given the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful celebration.
